Crossing the Tide - SOLD

Unique to Pip's Beach, stunning driftwood with sparkling seaglass sculptural lighting.

Crossing the Tide is one of my smaller pieces, created form a piece of age old driftwood salvaged from a beach on the south side of the Isle of Wight famous, or should I say infamous for smuggling and wrecking ... maybe this piece of chunky wood with holes for fixing dowells was part of one of those wrecks!

This lovely piece of weathered wood has a beautiful grain enhanced by the backlit seaglass.

I collect all the seaglass from beaches near my home on the Isle of Wight where it has been tumbled and shaped over years by the tides absorbing the energy of the sea and sunlight to create theses amazing frosted teardrops of seaglass. I spend hours walking along the Island's beautiful coastlines searching for the right pieces - its a hard life!!

This pieces stands approximately 35cm high and is solid wooden base.
The glass is back lit with low energy 12v LED lights
